Floor Information

1st. Floor

The first floor is equipped with an auditorium, a care equipment display room where nursing care equipment and items are displayed, and a model room for senior citizens. The auditorium is suitable for group workshops and exchange activities and can accommodate up to 400 persons.

2nd. Floor

Citizens can walk into the counseling room for consultations with the centre staff, lawyers and doctors regarding overall personal matters. Guidance by telephone is available as well. Also a multipurpose room equipped with a wall mirror can be widely used for activities like exercise. Parents wishing to participate in lectures and trainings can use the kid's room where baby beds and a space for nursing are provided.

3rd. Floor

A great volume of both domestic and foreign materials on gender equality issues such as books, magazines and videos are accessible in our library. It has a special research corner and 4 computers that will enable users to obtain information via the Internet(plus four in other areas). In addition an exchange room and lockers on a reservation basis are available for group use.

4th. Floor

There are 4 lecture rooms for conferences and training sessions (1 setting for 110 and 50 respectively and 2 for 25) and an OA/PC room for computer classes. Lodgings are available for training participants and travelers: 10 twin rooms(one for wheelchair use) and 4 Japanese tatami rooms. Together with rooms on the 5th floor they can accommodate a maximum of 50 people at a time.

5th. Floor

On the 5th floor are a lecture room for 32, lodgings(9 twins and 2 Japanese style rooms), a studio for painting and craft making, an equipped cooking room for cooking classes, and a Japanese room for tea ceremony and flower arrangement classes. A nursing care training room is also available for the exclusive use.
